Understanding Implants
Dental implants are surgical units which are implanted into the jaw to replace missing teeth. Implants are generally manufactured from titanium, a metal that is known to be able to bond with adjacent bone during the healing process. The implant procedure provides patients with durable replacement teeth that will look and feel great and last for many years. Implants are a safe and convenient way to replace lost teeth with natural-looking results!
What To Expect From Your Implant Experience
Before the dental implant procedure, your dentist will perform an assessment to determine whether you are a good candidate for dental implants. After discussing your options and developing a plan, the next step is to surgically place the implant. You’ll receive sedation so you can stay calm and comfortable during the procedure. There will be a healing period which gives the bone enough time to grow around the implant, a process known as osseointegration. At your next appointment, your dentist will place a connecting piece called an abutment, which will hold your new custom replacement teeth, also known as crowns. To keep your teeth healthy, it’s important to brush twice a day, floss, and see your dentist for regular follow-up appointments.

Meet Dr. Pablo Bautista
As head of the Abundant Dental Implant Center, Dr. Bautista is a General Dentist in the United States and is proud to be applying his decades of national and international specialized experience to help his patients achieve healthier and happier smiles.
Born and raised in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, Dr. Bautista is son of a nuclear physicist and a psychologist. Dr. Bautista has over 25+ years total of national and international experience as a dentist and is also a board-certified specialist in Brazil in three different specialties (dental implants, prosthodontics, and temporomandibular joint dysfunction). Dr. Bautista moved to the United States with his family in 2016. Once in the United States, Dr. Bautista was granted permanent residency based off of “exceptional ability” by the United States and he has completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through New York University.
